Okay, so when will we do this? It seems Eagle65 and I will have to come a little to the southwest to meet up with most of the group. what dates are looking good? Can someone who is more computer savy than I (meaning does anyone have a 9 year old) get a poll up on this place? lets throw out 3 dates and go from there...

 

It's my long weekend this week, so I'm off Friday, Saturday , and Sunday.
Then I've taken vacation days the end of July. Off the last week.
I've got rotating days off til then. Fourth of July weekend I've got a screwy
schedule. Off Friday the 4th, work Saturday, off Sunday and Monday, 6 & 7th.

(Side note, I'm heading over to Cincinnati this weekend. Going to drop off my
MINI to have a piece of chrome fixed, and to have them check out my passenger
seat belt chime. Anyone interested in heading over that way? Planning on spending
the night Friday and Saturday, coming back home Sunday. Will be probably hitting
a Zoo and trying to find an IMAX theater to see WALL-E <g>.) May do King's
Island, depending on weather and motivation....

 

Sadly, my work has gone insane so I'm afraid to even schedule things on the weekends, since I seem to be working 12 hours/day even on the weekends. Someday I will be out of this mess (hopefully towards the end of July when we're done with trial....actually, probably more like August sometime after we're done with trial and have caught up on all the stuff in other cases that we're letting slide now). Keep me posted, though, and maybe I'll try to sneak out.

I do know that I'm booked this weekend with work. And I am managing to escape for the long July 4th weekend (thank goodness July 4th fell on a Friday or it couldn't have been done!). My boyfriend is going to Mid Ohio to take one of the Audis on the track. I can try to sneak away the next two weekends but I doubt I'll be able to (the two weekends before trial)....and I'm at TT East (or at work) the last weekend in July at Snowshoe (so I'll see you there, BCSki, assuming I don't get caught at work).....so, yeah, I'm looking at August.

Just heard that the sale of new Minis is up 41%!! We're on the leading edge! They're popping up everywhere. Saw a used black one for sale @ the GM dealer in Buckhannon today.

 

Nice to see the soaring gas prices are good for something.

 

Looking at the concensus, seems like August may be doable for most of us.
(Maybe we can up the odds by getting together early in August, for that matter. <g>).

Checked my work schedule, and it turns out my vacation is set the first week of
August. I'm wondering if the weekend of Saturday the 9th/Sunday the 10th is
good for the majority?

Hopefully by then we can get a weekend without rain <g>. Also, this will give us
a month to save up for an extra tank of gas for the trip. (Personally, I think I'm
going to resort to recycling my pop cans for the cash <g>).

What's everyone think of that weekend? Any choice of destination? Thoughts
and opinions are welcome and appreciated.

 

There's a British Car show near Cincinnatti this week-end. I think my wife and I will go to see what ideas we can get for the next add-on. We saw the cover car from MC2 (May-June) at Mini Meet West a couple of weeks ago. That guy has put a load of money into his car. It looks every bit as good as the pictures, and he has a classic Mini too.
