I'm interested in joining

Hello, to all the Country Roads MINIs members. I'm new to NAM and just did my first post under the 1st gear Forum (Greetings From The MOUNTAIN STATE). It appears as if most of you are from the Charleston-Huntington area. I'm in Pocahontas Co., so I guess I'm fairly close to bcski. Although I haven't seen a yellow Mini. I work in Elkins, so I have a long commute 4 days/wk. However, its a lot more fun now! There are at least 2 Minis in Elkins, a red one and a Hot Chocolate Clubman. I haven't seen either, but know people that have seen them. Since I got my Mini, I have co-workers that are always telling me what they've seen in Philippi or Clarksburg or Morgantown, etc. They're all over the place!

I'd like to go motoring with you guys. The only problem is that most of the weekends are are filled for the Summer and its 4 hrs. from here to Charleston. I'm sure that eventually we can work something out.

I've read the threads under your forum and I'm curious to know if you ever settled on a club design. I thought several were very nice.

One other note: Whoever owns the blacked out "stealth" Mini, I just want to say that it looks GREAT. I hope to see it in person some day.

OBTW-Gas is $4.05 in Elkins and $4.12-$4.14 here with one place @ $4.37!! All prices are for regular.

Glad you found us Eagle65, and sorry it's taken five days for someone to
reply to you <g>. Not sure if everyone's been on vacation, or what... but
at least from my end I've just not been on the board as much as I should be lately...

There's a good group of MINI owners here in WV, but the club seems to have
stumbled a bit here at the start of the summer. Not sure if it's due to the cost of gas
keeping us from the boards, or just that everyone's busy hitting the road in our MINI's,
and don't have internet access out in the twisties <g>.

I've been awol due to my lack of a MINI, but hope to be online more often
now that I"m back on the road. I'm going to be heading out at least a
couple of times this summer, and may end up in your neck of the woods,
maybe we can meet up then. Another thought is , I've been considering
trying to find a good weekend for some of us to hit Cincinnati, and Kings Island.
( Would like to ride the "Italian Job" coaster with a group of fellow
MINI owners <g>.)

Again, great meeting you online... hope other's chime in here soon to also welcome you to our group...

Welcome! Glad to have you in our group! I've been off the forum lately (will be on rarely in the near future) due to some serious issues at my work that have led to many busy days and late nights. At least I still have my Mini to make me smile going to work and heading home at the end of a long day. We have stumbled a bit as a group getting started but we are a great group and I'm sure we'll get some more runs, etc. heading your way soon.

congratulations

on your mini, and welcome. I think everyone has been spending these beautiful days outside rather than on the boards! I am finally out of school for a month and am ready to celebrate!

Welcome aboard Eagle65. I live and work at snowshoe. I haven't been up to
elkins in about 2 weeks (living off pizza at Shaky Jakes) due to golf addiction and trips to my old resort to play there...

I too haven't been on the forums regularly it seems. I hope we can all get together for a run on day soon.

If you are rolling by snowshoe, stop in at the Raven golf course and say hello. I am here typicaly 6 days a week...

My goodness... he lives !!!!!

Glad to see you back online BCski <g>.
I'm guessing you must be having a good season, keeping yourself on the
course all the time, and off the web <g>. There'll be time to play when
the grass dies, before the snow falls....

I'm hoping to head up your way for a drive by sometime before summer
ends myself. I'll give you a shout beforehand, maybe you can slip away
for an afternoons short run ?

Welcome to NAM and Country Roads MINIs! I have been active on the board. I visit several times a day, but usually for only 2min spurts. for some reason this forum hasn't lit up to let me know new posts are up.

I have been on vacation for the past couple weeks, Went to NYC and Sandusky/Cleveland. Went to Cedar Point a couple days too. Unfortunately, neither trip was in my MINI. the trip to sandusky/cleveland, i took a truck and stopped by Classic MINI to pick up my new anthracite headliner (my quest to black out the car is still ongoing)
So the "stealth" MINI you referred to is probably me. I believe im the only WV MINI on here that has a Jet Black car. If so, then thanks for the compliment

The logo, nothing was ever really finalized. Although we did pretty much narrow it down to two selections. hopefully we can meet up to discuss club happenings even further.

The trip to Cincy /Kings Island sounds pretty amazing. I've been dying to ride the MINI Cooper ride, even though they changed the name of it once Paramount was bought out by Cedar Fair (cedar point)

Lastly, I will be going down to Thomasville,NC (near charlotte) to get a dyno tune from Jan in a couple weeks. There are a few slots still available if anyone would be interested. I really hope to get over 200whp while i'm down there.

Again, welcome, and post pics if you got em!
