Auto-x in Lincoln on Sunday the 9th of September

Now hear this...........
There will be a SCCA Auto-x event on Sunday the 9th of September in Lincoln. All are invited to attend. Even if you don't want to run around the cones and just want to watch. I will be bringing the trailer and a cooler. So bring your chairs and sit around and enjoy the sound of tires and exhaust.

For those of you that don't have any idea of what I am talking about.
Here is a link to the Nebraska region of the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) www.nrscca.com
Further you can find a description of what Auto-x is by clicking here.
Information on location and such is provided here.
From what I understand registration/inspection is from 9:00AM - 10:30AM
first car off at 11:00AM.
.........That is all.
Jim

Seems silly even asking if everyone had a good time? No issues I hope. Any pics?

We had a blast. Always good to have an excuse to drive your Mini to its limits. (or at least to yours).

There was a pretty good turnout of Minis. Jim had a camera, hopefully the pictures came out well and he gets a chance to post soon.

You can find the ones I took HERE. I like these the best.

Is it just me or.... maybe just a slight tip of the cone?

Cones everywhere!!!!!
I did not get Ryan or Me. Forgot to hand my Camera off. I did take some vid inside the car but will not make you suffer watching. It was bad.

Jim,

Looks like you all had some fun in Lincoln. Did you get any rain on Sunday or was it cool and dry all day?

How did they class the MINIs? What were the times for the MINIs and the best time of the day, if known.

Looks like fun, I will have to give next season a try with my automatic

I think Ryan had a 34. something low. Other than that there was this insane Miata there that did a 30.0 or something close. MINIs were in the GS class.
Cool and dry all day. In fact, I wore a jacket all day.

yeah it was a great time out there. It was good to see all the MINIs out there. and yeah I ended up with a 34.884. I surprised myself with that time. I would love to have a lot more MINIs out there though. but yeah it was a lot of fun......Next one is up by Omaha in a couple of weeks.

I was going to go do it but I seen the weather and it was also NFL season kickoff. Good to see everything went well, I will try and make it to the next one. I was a little worried to hear it was in a parking lot. but it looks like you would have room to let loose

Congrats to those who raced

Congratulations to those who raced

According to the results, the Minis took 1st, 2nd, and 5th in the GS class, Uncontested 1st in the HS class, and 3rd in the Street tire class. Not too bad guys.
