cooper power to be enough?

I personally could afford to get either the MC or the MCS, but made the decision to go get the MC, because of personal preference. Having choice is a great thing. And more power to MCS owners for having quicker cars and enjoying them.
What gets most MC owners fired up is when some MCS owners start saying things like "the MC is hopeless" or the "MC has obvious shortcomings" ... you forget that this is a 18K car that goes zero to 60 in 8.5 seconds, probably quicker than average in the segment in which it competed when it was first introduced. But it makes up for the average straightline performance with its amazing handling and fun to drive factor.
There are many great classic sports cars that fall in this exact category... that are not any faster than an MC... Yet people still love them. I dare you to go over to a Miata forum and post there that the original Miata was a crappy car cause it wasn't fast in the straight line, or that it is inferior to the MCS:
1990 Mazda Miata 9.4
1991 Mazda Miata 9.1
1994 Mazda Miata 9.7
1996 Mazda Miata 8.7
1999 Mazda Miata 7.9
2001 Mazda Miata MX5 7.9
Using some MCS owners' logic, these straightline numbers would make the Miata, arguably the greatest low cost sports car in recent history, a hopeless, slow piece of crap. But we all know that in the right setting the Miata is an absolute giant killer.
As I posted before... there are half a dozen cars out there today that cost the same as an MCS and would blow its doors off in the straight line. Does this make a Dodge SRT4 any better than an MCS? Not to me, but to a drag race fan that needs a cheap 4 door car... Absolutely!

not what you said...
I don't feel my car is lacking. If I felt my car was lacking, I would trade it in for an S.
But thank you for proving the statement that you quoted from me.
