I'm switching out my Cooper (non-S) sway bar (16mm) with a Cooper S sway bar (17mm)

Eventually, I'll upgrade to a larger bar, but for now, I couldn't beat the price.

The problem is I'm getting different information about the bushings.

My local dealer parts guy is saying that they use the same bushings. Is this correct?

 

When I upgraded my sway bar the busdhings came with the the bar and they looked larger than my old sway bars bushings.

That's fine, but I'm dealing with a used OEM MCS sway bar. The previous owner didn't have the bushings to pass on. I would buy some, but the MINI parts guy says I don't need new ones of the S sway bar. He just didn't sound completely confident.

the 16 mm and the 17 mm oem bars use the same oem bushings.
the powerflex polyurethane replacement bushing are also the same
for the 16 and 17 mm application.
