CO adjustment?

Hi, guys,

I just installed a 57-0331-1. One of the leaflets included in the box said that the CO level should be checked to see that it is at maximum or slightly above. How important is this? Has anyone done it? It's now dark outside and I need the car tomorrow. Can it be driven safely, engine-wise? Thanks.

I had no such leaflet in my box. How would one go about checking the CO levels anyway?

My car passed state emissions inspection with the 57i on.

The leaflet also stated that most cars today are 'jetted' lean from the factory, so that's why I was concerned. The K&Ns flow more air. 'Lean' leads to melted innards.

I took the car out for test drive, and I am impressed with the 57i. It has put some hair on the car's *********. Increased pull everywhere, and it sounds great.

Auto Parts Warehouse CLAIMS to match any price.
It is a total lie.

It is pure BS.

I called them today to try to get the K&N 57i Typhoon short-ram cold air intake set up for my '03 MC, which they list on their site for $166. I told them I wanted to get the price matching they offer on the item. Before I could even tell them the price I wanted them to match, they said, "No way!" I was only looking for about 9% off, based upon the "delivered" price I found at Exotic Truck & Auto Gear out of Florida of $150.

What a sham! Friggin' scam artists... if they advertise price matching, they should not have a problem matching a price that is less than 10%. I'm sure the wholesale on these units is under $100.

Should have escalated, and asked to speak to a supervisor.
