cam mod on MC

Could anyone out there who has put a cam upgrade in there MC tell us about it. Did the car feel like it had more power, if it did where (low, mid, high, rpm's) did it have any negative effects on daily driving rough idle increased gas mileage or what ever. What brand was it. Just tell us anything that might be helpful in determining if this is a worth while mod. THANKS.

Yes, there are people who have done cams in MCs. Not sure why none of them are replying though...... I'm getting ready to do mine, but I won't be able to comment on cam-specific effects because it'll happen along with a few other rather significant mods; cylinder head, manifold and software.

Thanks, I would still like to hear about your results. I plan on doing a port and polish head at some point as well. I started a thread about a full build of a cooper but didn't get much response so I thought if I broke it down to just individual part per thread I might get more responses. Didn't work. So please keep me posted. What software, what did you have done to the head and what cam. I would really like to hear your results. Thanks.

I think I made up my mind. I am going to fully build my Cooper motor to hold high boost from a GT28RS.

Whoa! I've thought about doing that sort of thing but I'm taking it slowly for now.

******No need to hear from the "why not just buy an S?" crowd, we do this sort of thing for FUN!******

You gonna start w/ an S bottom end?
