What can I do that the dealer can't point his finger at. They balmed my dash rattles on my aftermarket exhaust - said it produces different tones/resonates at different frequiencies than the stock system. Think they bould blame rattles on coilovers? Transmission problems on lighter wheels, etc...?

 

I have read some pretty creative garbage that some dealers try to blame on aftermarket parts. Other dealers don't try to welch out of their duty to honor the warranty unless a direct causation between the mod and the problem can be proven. I have not read the Magnussen-Moss legislation, but the understanding I have of it is that the dealer has to prove that the mod caused the problem in order to deny warranty work.

In some dealers eyes, theoretically, my Momo shift **** could ruin my transmission. Whatever.

 

Seems to be a dealer to dealer thing. Some pony up and others will try anything to hose you. MNS has been pretty good to us here in Phoenix.

 

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Your best bet is to find another dealer.
