Mods for 2006

I have a 2006 MC on order. Was thinking about Intake, Header, Exhaust, and possibly a bored out throttle body. The Dealer says that the 2006 is basically the same as a 2005. What options do I have. I would love to improve performance all accross the throttle range but leaning more toward Low end increases.

Curious here... that list of mods will take some money. What was your reasoning in not just ordering an MCS if terrific performance is  very high on you list of needs? Seems like for the 3.5k not only do you get a performance based car and then some, but also reliabilty, no warrenty issues and much greater resale. Aftermarket mods usually don't mean a thing at resale time and actually hurt.

I ask as I've an MCS on order but was so tempted just to buy an MC.... 3.5k less. But after adding it all up with some factory mods and options I might normally pass on the difference wasn't that great. Plus I know I want the car to go-go.

No offense but, I dont care for the hole in the bonnet for the S. That and the extra $$ my insurance company wants for a Supercharger... I am one of those guys who want to do more with less. Besides anyone can have an S it takes more patience to get the most of a base Cooper. Some people want MAX performance but want to do it a little differently.

I also don't plan on doing this overnight. Over MANY years.
