Good stuff. Impressive ownership.

45k miles on my2012. Besides fluids, replaced just tires and brakes.

There have been a few changes since my last post, but this car is still Pure Fun.

At 582,000 Miles I decided to have my Dealer, International MINI of
Milwaukee, install a used engine with 46,000 miles instead of replacing a
leaking head gasket for over $2000. The engine went in just fine, but,
my old (original) air conditioner compressor also needed to be replaced.
Everything had been going perfectly since then - till the old (original)
power steering pump failed a couple weeks ago. So, gradually,
we're learning how long these original parts last -
if you keep your MINI long enough!

That's how the odometer looked a few hundred miles ago, and the other
picture was taken a few minutes later with a week's worth of bugs and dust
still in place. But, that's OK - The car is not new - and it's not For Sale.

I bought my 2007 Cooper new in December 2007. It is my commuter car, 520 miles per week. I now have 185,400 miles on it. No issues, 42 mpg and it burns 8 fluid ounces of oil per 1,000 miles.

First post on this forum. Now it has about 167k. 09 Hardtop non-s 6 speed. Drive it 100 miles a day and have replaced the vacuum pump and 2 wheel hubs since I got it 6 months ago. Bought it with 159k. (Also just reset average MPG when pic was taken.) Mechanic owned a local shop was the previous and only owner. Will post updates as they come.

Dan- What were the symptoms of the bad wheel bearings? My R55 has 156k and the original bearings...just want to know what to look for. Have had them go bad on other cars and the started to make lots of noise on the highway....

While I've only got just over 16,000 miles on my '13 Justa I have to comment that it has been absolutely 100% trouble free.

2009 Just Convertible

Bought the Black That with 85k on it and currently has 118k on it. Completed MTTS 2016 and put close to 10k miles on with no issues. Previous owner obviously took care of it and I make oil is changed regularly at 5k. As far as I know still all original parts except for brakes which I replaced prior to MTTS. Stored during the winter

Will probably look into having the timing chain replaced in spring for piece of mind.

Bought my O2 Blue used at dealership in 5/15 with 89K
I like to start with a base knowledge of basic maint so I did oil Mobil 1 0-40w and plugs. Installed KN drop in filter. Replaced cabin filter.
4mos and Tstat replaced for leaking and code throw. Have new water pump, plastic hose to tstat in parts bin just in case.
Oil leak into #1 s/p cylinder. New genuine mini valve cover gasket and engine seems smoother.
Car started having stumbling startup last month then complete no start and code throw. Did quick Advance Auto #4 coil replacement per tester and fired right up but still slight hesitation. Installed 4 new Bosche coils and runs great now and starts up like when purchased.
Custom 10" sub w/Alpine amp compliments HK system.
Installed S rear spoiler today picked up off CL.
Need to finish wiring up OEM fogs and rear fog to custom switch.
Hope to be driving it for a long time. Gives me as much smiles as my high school days 72 Datsun 510 and my 20s 1990 Miata.

114 K on the Kid. Water pump tensioner just replaced. Sorta sounded like the dreaded cold start death rattle, but timing chain hasn't expired quite yet. Thermostat housing cracked at 112 K. Valve cover gasket at 105 K.

Have some other vehicles tempting me to sell the MINI, but still love the fun. And, hey - it's paid for!

My 2011 made 139K miles today. Not trouble-free, had to replace valve cover gasket a year ago, footwell body control module went out two weeks ago. Still on original clutch. Slow leak from rear main seal. Nothing serious enough to make me get a different car. :-)

Mine made it to 85555 today. I've been through a Transmission and a Clutch, but I wager that's the PO's fault, because I've only ever driven stick all my life. New Transmission was pulled at 24k, so that'll hold steady for a while. Engine is doing well, but the oil change guy never put the filler cap on one time, and I drove it like that for 3 days. Don't know how it never died from the poor vacuum! Other than that, no issues. I did a Seafoam cleaning two days ago, and WOW, that's no snake oil! I actually cannot believe how much of an improvement that made on my engine. Makes me think there's a lot more yet to do in refreshing the poor motor. I'm currently 3D printing the intake mediablasting tool for all of that DI carbon behind the valves. I'll let you all know how it goes when I buy what I need.

my understanding is that there are several ways to use seafoam. What procedure did you use? Just added to oil or a more involved procedure?

'08 R56 Justa Auto 172,000 mi. I bought it with 60,000 miles on it. I can't say it's been 100% trouble-free, I've had to do a couple of things but in the grand scheme of things it's been great. Nothing *major*, I guess, but I've done Timing Chain/ Valve seals/Water pump/Water pipe/Thermostat, VANOS solenoids (all at the same time frame about 50,000 mi ago) and recently a Filter Mount Gasket.

MrSurly
have 146K+ on mine
did you do the timing chain/valve seals yourself? if you did, was it hard?
I've done everything you've done sans the timing chain/valve seals.
Also replaced coolant tank/cap.
I also have a slight leak somewhere again as I'm losing coolant...ugh
