Comp Ratio of CP Slugs....
Comp Ratio of CP Slugs....
I've noticed that the CP Pistons for the MINI has a few overbore options... great, nothing new there. What confuses me is that there is a lack of CR information. I'll assume that this means that they are stock compression, and they only play in the MINI market for rebuilds where there maybe have been a hurt sleeve that only needed an overbore, and not really for N/A performance gains (although they are probably lighter than the OEM slugs).
With that said - are there any aftermarket high(er) compression pistons available for the MINI 1.6?? I'm not a stranger to going one-off with custom pistons for the cars that I've built, but I also don't want to reinvent the wheel since my MINI will likely always be my daily.
Any info will be greatly appreciated,
Thanx

FWIW, I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild for my R53. The only info I can answer for you is that the CP pistons and Carrello connecting rod combo is 40 grams lighter than the OEM ones. I'm using the standard OEM compression pistons and no overbore.
