JCW Compatibility

I didnt know where to put this so i posted in both here and General. If needed please merge.

So i was gonna buy the JCW grill for my 08 justacooper from outmotoring. I did however find a better deal from a take off of a JCW. Would this fit on my justacooper? If not would i be able to easily adjust it to fit? What would i have to do? If i buy this takeoff it will save a me a decent chunk of change so any advice?

I believe I got my JCW grille from outmotoring for something like $65. Where are you getting yours?

The problem is actually the chrome trim piece that fits along the bottom of the grill; the S and JCW models are different from the Coopers. The take-off grill may fit your car, but the trim off your old grill won't fit on the grill taken off the JCW.

I guess I'm a little confused... It's been awhile since I did mine, but I recall the trim surrounds being no different for my MC than a JCW or an S. If you have the JCW grille, you will need to pop out the lower trim, install the grill and then pop the lower trim back in. I don't believe you'll have any issues.

Turns out there are 2 different versions/part numbers for the justacooper vs the S/JCW. The depth is different and it has different points of attachments.

Sorry for the confusion... I had forgotten that there were 2 versions of the JCW grille. I would personally go with outmotoring - for $45 you'll have no issues. I'm not sure if you can use your existing trim, but a phone call to outmotoring should clear that up. I've found them to be very responsive to questions.
