I have an R50 and love my 16" R90s from Morristown MINI on-line sales. I hated those 15" old man rims that were on the car when I bought it.
Before and after pics:

Huge improvement .... YES and the 16" R90s are very reasonable from Morristown MINI.

Friday those look amazing. I love the mesh style of the R90, it's even what I went with myself but damn, Im starting to want to go back something like this. That anthracite color is spot on.

OEM 15s are great, they are super light. Only drawback is they are narrow at 5.5", however I still run 195s on them. I will eventually upgrade to a lightweight 15x8 wheel.

There are a few brave souls who have been running 205/50-15 on OEM wheels before(I have a set of 205/50-15 R888 mounted on them now for track use). Not the best fit from what I understand, but I used to run 195/55-15 Kumho ASX on my Holeys and I loved the ride and it definitely was a serious improvement over stock!

And, the Holeys is still one of the best looking wheels on our car imho! Still thinking about running something wider too, but that is what the 17 inch lightweights are for
