Has anyone here installed a cam from any maker (Piper, Cat, Schrick, Newman, BMP/Dbilas, RMW proprietary, Newman, Mini-Mania, others?) in a stock R50 head? If so what were the results? If dyno results aren't available, even subjective impressions from someone who's actually done it would be useful. My search attempts didn't turn anything up.
if done right, an aftermarket cam might still be a cost effective dollar per HP mod even in a stock head. I'd be happy with 5-6 extra ft/lbs in the mid range for a reasonably priced cam

I have a Piper cam in my stock R50 head. Made an appreciable difference, with better pull over 3000 rpm.
Dyno plot here
Mods are: Janspeed/GTT Manifold, Miltek catback, Pipercross Viper CAI, Pipercams road cam, Minipowerprog remap

Thanks Scraggles, that looks like a strong Mini One The Piper cam is the only performance cam I've seen for the MINI that has less total duration (plus more lift )than the stock cam.
Did you have all the mods installed in your sig when you dyno'd the car?
