Conversion to ice cream truck
I thought you might like to see a couple of old British 'ice cream vans' built on a classic Mini Pickup.

Of course these had 850cc 40hp engines and with that tall body, doing as much as 60mph was just a wild dream....

those are very cool.
Think I found an Amp that'll connect an ipod using Aux input, RCA, and power through a USB. it'll also tie into the ice cream speakers and be small enough to fit on the dash for easy controls. just need to put it all together.
found some cool ice cream music on itunes, sounds much better than those old music box tunes.

You might want to consider using a standard car amp to draw straight off the battery depending on how much power you need. I would think a small one (70-120w) should do the trick for your purposes. I'd also adjust voluming using the ipod volume control instead of messing with the AMP. I got this nifty watch that I use for skiing to control my ipod, might work for you:

For Sale
Putting the Itty Bitty Ice Cream Mini up for sale (listed in the marketplace section if anyone is interested).
Planning on selling it stripped back to near original condition, but the fun add-ons are easy enough to remove.
Think we'll keep the freezers to convert another vehicle or aqua vehicle in 2012.
It's a nice car if anyone wants it, will consider selling the business with it too. Now that I know how to do all of the paperwork, legwork, and hard work, it's a pretty easy business to get up and running.

Thanks for all of the input.
Great place and better kinds for GPS, BlimeyCabrio and bobj.
Everything is coming along nicely so far, the business plan and expenses are looking good. bubble machines to mount on roof inside of ice cream cone sounded kinda complicated, as I will pretty much have to customize either an existing plastic ice cream cone or make my own with a top mount bracket to support the bubble machine. Found a nice bubble machine with remote control and a timer from chauvet: http://www.coolstuffcheap.com/bubblemachines.html Of course there are less powerful battery powered ones but the output of bubbles is pretty awesome for these.
