3rd gear@6900rpm, or 4rth 5000rpm???

That motor still uses the Eaton M45 while UK's setup will utilize a turbo. Speaking of which, what were you going to use as a turbo, UK, and what kind of boost numbers? GT42R.....
Umm...yea. You guessed it right on the head.
Either that or something a little bigger...

Looks like it starts around $10k at the moment...
I'm not messing with my engine either...my plan is to try and make it last about 100,000 miles more...then swap out the engine for the stroker (hopefully it is available several years down the line...I'll do the 6 spd swap when my tranny breaks.

Those of you who have the Midlands gearboxes, what do you feel is faster? Taking the 3rd gear in 6800-6900rpm and shift to 4rth (revs going at 5300-5400rpm), or shift at 6200-6300 rpm from 3rd to 4rth gear, and go right on the torque peak on 5000rpm???? Sometimes i feel i am only losing time taking the 3rd gear from 6300-6400rpm to 6900.

It goes by speed, not engine speed, but there is clearly a point where 4th is favorable to 3rd (at ~105 mph, whatever that works out to be in rpm's). For reference, that plot assumes you're running a tire with 12" rolling radius.
