I gather that you guys are talking about the Pipercross intake and not the Pipercross Viper cold air intake.
Any comments on the Pipercross Viper?

You are correct. I am referring to the pipercross induction kit, I think it's the pk22 or something like that, not the CAI.

>>Anyone else have any mileage comparisons?

On my last tank, I got 32.4mpg [402 miles before I filled up].

I visited the Promini site and found it curious that after clicking on the Cooper intake, it boasted about the S intake's dyno numbers. What about the Cooper's?

I just put the BMP/PROMINI on and like the sound and there's a definate improvement in performance. No more stumble on hard accelleration. Better low end grunt, (no more waiting for 4k for the kick). I'll be checking the millage and report back.

I bought the ProMINI from RSpeed yesterday. I installed it without the bracket and the result is very good.

Problem is I am unable to get it to fit with the bracket without rubbing the hood. It's already cut a hole in my insulation. RSpeed and BMP have been helpful but really I just keep hearing "it should fit". The only thing I can think of is that I don't have instructions and must be missing something. Can someone e-mail the instructions to me? Or fax them? (1-435-417-4226). I tried to get BMP to fax them but haven't received the fax yet.

The bracket that shipped with my unit is clearly too long. I'd hate to return the unit but I can't just let it rub a hole in the Bonnet!

One theory (other than user error!) is there might have been a change from '02 to '03 model year. Does anyone have this installed on a '03 MC?

Fitting the bracket is a bit of a pain.
