I was referring to the uprated internals for the midlands...as in rebuilding it. If I can't afford to go the 6 spd route when my midlands breaks, I will be forced to rebuild instead. If I rebuild, I might as well use something stronger than stock if available. I would never get a rebuilt midlands whether it is "uprated" or stock.

Uhh, but now that I actually pay attention, it appears that the internals are just stock ones. So I'm back to rebuilding a broken POS into a working POS or swapping to a 6 spd when it breaks.

Where did you find the tranny for that cheap? Was it off a wrecked car?

I bought it from someone on NAM. It had 2500 miles. Guess you werent paying attention to the for sale section...LMAO. Like I said...new Midlands...new Getrag 5-speed...or a Getrag 6-speed....the cost for a 6-speed is about a grand more and you would be waaay happier...PLUS, u can throw a LSD in it... P
