Ok, so I know this probably a bit premature..... But, went on MINIusa today and Midnight Black and the Sport Package is available on the configurator. Which, happens to be the two things I am waiting on for my new clubby

Hope this means I get a production number soon

 

Midnight Black is back! Very cool!

 

Back?! I thought this is the first time it has been offered for the MINI?

 

I thought Midnight Black used to be the "old" black, like pre-2005-ish. Maybe I'm wrong.

BTW, it would be really cool if they would let the c-pillars match the body color. An all black Clubman S would be so sweet looking.

 

My bad, I did a google search and the old color was Jet Black and not Midnight Black. I mis-spoke.

 

Scared me.... I was looking forward to hopefully being the first with this color

 

oh Reeeeeeeeally? I've been avoiding the configurator for a week. must go play.

 

...and I came very close to pulling the trigger on an AB/B MCCS on Wednesday--I could have been the LAST!

 

Midnight Black and Jet Black aren't the same color...Midnight Black appears to be metallic. Jet Black wasn't.

 

I have the German brochure for the 2009 clubby and it is metallic; I did hear somewhere that it is supposed to have silver glitter in it.

 

hmmm . . . MiniUSA removed the rear spoiler from the Sport Package, but left the price the same. I guess they figure some people want the Sport package AND roof rails

 

You betcha.

 

Alright, I should have a build week by Wednesday.

Lets cross our fingers and hope it is week 49, another NAM member who was waiting on the sports package as well has been slotted for 49. I really, really, hope so.

Quick update:

Yipeeee!!!!! I got a code 150 and a VIN today Don't know how that happened, checked yesterday and it was only a 112. I couldn't be happier.... I plan emailing my MA once a day till she gets here

Week 50 starts the 7th of December

 

There was Cosmos Black that was offered until summer 2004.

 

Now, I really get to do a happy dance.....

I SAW MY BABY GIRL FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was delivered to the dealership yesterday; which means I should be driving her by this time next week

She is really dirty, but so pretty. I am in love The Midnight Black color is as great as I was hoping it would be. If anyone has seen the BMW Black Saphire color it is very similar to that; the Midnight Black really is a true black with what appears to have black and silver metallic flakes in it. It has been raining here all day; except for when I was taking pictures of her, the sun came out for a second

She is still all bubble wrapped from shipment, but.....

Now is the time that everyone has been waiting for; Clubby ****!









I can't wait to see what she looks like detailed and dry, and I still need to come up with a name for her
