Shoot - I was hoping for someplace a bit closer to Denver. It looks like your Mini is in just the right shape for what I'm looking for. :/

Did you buy it from Turky's?

yea i got it from turky's...that guy is a bastard, and a liar..i bought the car from him...in terrible shape...only good thing about it is that it had no rust...big deal rust is nothing, he said the only thing the motor needed was a new rotor cap cause it was cracked ....boy was i in for a ride...The car runs good...all electrics in car is new...interior is being restored in leather, custom dash being made..in carbon fiber, car is good...only thing is that car is loosing energy when parked for a long time...the battery is being drained for some reason or another........and i havent been able to figure it out.yet..

Is it flat black? The photos are a bit hard to make out I'm afraid... Engine looks great though - have a larger photo by any chance?

I'm sorry you feel like you were deceived. Rust is a big deal & IMO a rust free car is far more important than a running motor. Building motors is fun, rust repair is just agony.

To anyone looking to buy a classic Mini. Do your homework. If you don't know much about them find someone who does & ask questions. Find the Guru from your local Mini club & take them with you to inspect your future car. If the car is not what you expect or is misrepresented walk away. You will find another one.

Check your alternator. You may have a bad diode leaking power back thru your ignition circuit.

Turn caps off man.

I dont think youre going to get 7K for that car. If i remember it was on Turkys website for like 3, wince it had been wrecked into a telephone pole. Also classic minis are notorious for doing this. Just get a battery tender and mount it in the trunk. Then when youre home it will keep the battery nice and charged.

Disconnect the battery on the negative side, then put a test light between the negative cable and the negative post, if it lights then you have a drain, Disconnect items or fuses until the light goes out. I would start with a radio if one is installed, When the light goes off you have found your drain.

why is that...yea it wasnt wrecked it had a sign dropped on it...And as you can see the body is straight..ive spent over 7 k on it..and the car is in tip top shape...brand new motor, interior is brand new, surround sound and dvd and tv, new air bag suspension, and fresh paint...and its a classic..so 7 k was actualy a good price...a guy from africa saw me at the gas station offered me 9k before i was even done with it....Dont be jealouse..hahahahaha
