Classic E Minis

Came across some articles pertaining to some Classic E-Minis in case you're interested in getting with the tech side of things but retaining the classic look.

There was a one-off prototype that MINI put out at the NY AutoShow back in 2018:

From there, they end up agreeing to build and produce the car. So now MINI is 'reproducing' their previously produced cars...with a twist. Adding in the electric drive bits. So you can buy a classic Mini EV right from the factory:

Apart from that, there's this company as well that kicking them out:

Pricey little buggers. But interesting none the less.

It would be nice if there was a directory of shops that did electric conversions of Classic Minis in this country...

I'd say as they become more popular, there could be a list made for sure. I'm sure these Mini/MINI forums would be a good advertising vehicle for them. It's more of a hit across the pond I guess right now due to the mandate against ICE vehicles being sold. In due time we'll see more.

There's a guy in Texas that does conversions, but very pricey.

McGees Custom Minis is also putting the finishing touches on theirs. Looking great.

I was supposed to get mine converted over the past winter @ McGees but he was behind in his schedule and couldn't assure completion by spring...☹️
