Buying a classic Mini
Buying a classic Mini
I saw a 1991 Rover Mini Cooper for sale on eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Austin....m46890.l49292
The sale price is $17,500. Is this a good price? Can anyone provide more info. on this model and what issues to look out for.
Thanks!

I would hesitate to buy a classic Mini based on the listing alone. Try to see it in person or arrange for an expert to look at it. They are prone to damage from the tinworm; people say that if you listen carefully you can hear them rust! They generally drip oil. A drive can expose issues with the engine, transmission popping out of gear, and other potential problems. A car that has been well cared for or restored can be a blast- mine is, but others can look good from ten feet but not so good up close. So if this one is as good as the listing says it could be worth the money, since a car that's complete can cost less than one needing work, especially if you have to pay for labor rather than DIY. Try to be objective but that's not easy with these wee beasties!
