Help with Minilite lugnuts

I was the winner of these 10" Minilites: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300980436609...84.m1439.l2649
but they don't come with complete lug nuts. I found a site that seems to have quite a variety of lug nuts at a reasonable price, but I don't have a clue as to which, if any, would work. Here's their site:
http://www.ezaccessory.com/Lug_Wheel_Bolts_s/20.htm
Far preferable compared to $10. a pop IF they fit.
Do they?

I thought by now you'd be convinced to trust Seven!

http://www.7ent.com/products/lug-nut...-swt0039s.html

issue would be do you need the sleeve?
"Special sleeve nut with .850" shank length under head of nut. For 3/8" stud and fits .625" bore holes in wheels such as Minilite 5x10. Includes heavy-duty flat washer. Sold each."

which makes 'em pricey @ $10 each

or just a simple lug nut
"A new set of chrome nuts can improve the look of your older aftermarket or stock steel wheels. Called "acorn" or "dome" nuts becuase they conceal the stud. These radiused nuts are suited for all stock 10" wheels and fit those alloy wheels with a radiused seating cup. Sold in sets of sixteen (16)."

@ $40 for 16 . . .

possibly a down side of true MiniLite wheels. But since Seven sells 'em, I'd think they are a good place to ask . . .

Am I right in guessing your current nuts don't fit right? Suggesting you need the pricey ones? order ONE and see if it fits . . .

Yes, those look like true Minilites, so you will need the sleeved lugnuts. From looking over the pricing on the ebay listing, it seems you would of been better off buying new Minilites! After you find the correct lugnuts you will be right at the price of a new set!
You can always post on the Mini Mania forum asking if someone has a set of lugnuts they might part with for less money.

CaptBJ: I trust 7ent. I just don't want to fork out $10. a lug nut. I get the wheels/tires this Saturday and they'll be coming with some lug nuts. Just not sure how many. Maybe the current ones (on the Pacer 13" rims) will work. I'm just sorta doubting it from what I've heard about Minilites. I'll give 7ent a call after I see what I've purchased.
Pflashinaz: I think I did pretty well at $475. for the 4 Minilites WITH almost new Yokohamas. And no shipping since he's driving them toward me. Thanks for the tip about posting on the forum. Will do if need be.

let's try it this way

From what I see you DO have genuine MiniLite and those DO use a unique lug nut which typically comes WITH the wheels.

If you don't get 16 proper MiniLite lugnuts then I believe you're stuck - but a call to 7 would confirm this.

I also note that MiniMania actually list two different size MiliLite unique lugnuts ... they say the 6 inchers need a longer lug . . .

maybe a $4 option http://www.gbcarparts.com/proddetail...od=000-MN1316B

****************
by the way this thread has helped CONFIRM to me that my wheels are not MiniLite despite what the previous owner claimed . . . . cuz my wheels do use 'domed' lugs and not the flat surface lugs of true MiniLite

if anyone CAN ID my wheels I'd be very happy . . . I think they might be GB's but there are no markings that confirm that. As I said, guy I bought it from, and broker in UK b4 that, claimed they were MiniLight but that is clearly not so.

I saw the $150 shipping on the ebay ad and thought that was a bit steep!
BTW here is a photo of a Minilite.

As previously noted the 6 inch wide Minilites do need a longer sleeved lugnut as the center section on the wheel is very thick compared to other 10 inch Mini wheels.
Another aspect of fitting these wheels is to check the length of your wheel studs. I've seen where some of the original studs were shorter than required to capture enough thread on the lugnut.

10X6 Minilite

Good info from you two. Thanks. Turns out I'm going to be needing 4 in total. It turns out this place: * http://www.ezaccessory.com/Articles.asp?ID=1
that deals in various sizes is only a few miles from me. Hopefully they'll be able to provide some. If not, there aren't that many to hunt up or get from 7ent.

Highly unlikely that you'd be able to get Minilite sleeve nuts from those guys. The size and type of nuts used with Minilites are unique.

And to Capt_bj: The wheel you have is not a Minilite which was the originator of that style, it could be a Minilight(different), 100+, ROH Contessa, or various replica of the Minilite. Of the many copies of the Minilite the one which is most like the original is the Minilife(note spelling)
