March 27th - Cruise Night Pasadena & Cruise Morning Newport
#1
I will be participating once again in two of the largest weekly car gatherings in Southern California this Saturday and hope to see some people from this board there.
The first is the Crystal Cove car show in Newport Beach in the Crystal Cove shopping center on Coast Highway just south of Newport Coast Drive and north of Laguna Beach. It starts at 7:00am and goes until about 9:30 or 10:00. All are MINIs and Minis welcome, new and old. If you haven't been to this, it is absolutely worth the drive. It is the most diverse gathering of cars I have even seen for free! A few hundred typically attend but be there early. Race car legend Dan Gurney is also there every weekend with his Aligator motorcycle. He was my hero when I was a kid (remember the Eagle?) so it is exciting to actually talk to him.
A few classic Minis will be meeting at Fudruckers in Pasadena at 4:30 pm for the classic cruise night. I am 75% sure that I will be there. Unfortunately the Fudruckers policy is for classic cars only so new Minis are excluded from showing their cars. It is still fun to come down and check it out.
