What are "front back plates"? Have you tried GBCarparts, Mini Mania or Moss?

the TWIN LEADING SHOE drum brake back plates for 64 to 84 are parts 114-135 and 136 and MM has them listed and on 'special' for gulp $138 each plus shipping

Seven says $160 ....

but if you have the single shoe Seven has those for $50 each ....

guess we know why you might be lookin for used but good....

Have you tried to salvage yours? I pulled mine (well rear wheel back plates anyway - disks up front) and wire brushed the heck out of 'em then gave 'em two coats of POR to stop any rust....only problem I see is POR is not a heat resistant coating and when I used the silver it changed color. Didn't peel but it scorched when I used it on the drums themselves so we'll have to see how it works in the long term. So far after 1 year - but little driving - all is well.

I also pulled all my backplates front and rear, sandblasted them and used Rustoleum Hi-Heat primer and sprayed the outside surface with gloss black paint and the inside surfaces with matte Hi-Heat paint.

So far so good.......

Out of England you are looking at $100 per backplate. Or you can get a complete backplate assembled with new cylinders, pads, & springs for approx $145.

yup the front twin back plate for drums. i pulled them off because the adjusters were stuck put heat to team and got them to work. put them back on the car and it is stuck again then i just rounded the thing off. i think i can get by with just a new right side but if i can get both that would be great.
