Awesome! We want to see more!! Here's an interesting fact, Minis and Honda's are distant cousins, the founder of honda, Soichiro Honda got his inspiration for the original civic from the mini, I believe he owned a mini himself...

Travis,
What are you using to hold down the hood, strap-wise? Mine doesn't have straps right now which is fine most of the time, but if I am hard on the brakes like at an autox the hood will slide forward. So, I will need something soon.

That's a really clean install, nicely done!

But not exactly 10 inchers, are they?

East German Judge, "Very nice."

Looks good, Friend. I don't know how you keep the windscreens so clean though...that's amazing!

I like your little purple jeep, too.....you got all of the toys.

Looks short (and SWEET!). Is it a "minus" shell?

Thanks...I think.
No it is not a Minus Shell.

It is a steel shell 1962 MK1 mini shell.

Mine looks lower/shorter because I used "crazy visual effects".
In other words, I did something that most dont do and it make it look lower than most.
Look at the pics, whoever can figure it out....you'll win a cookie.

Camber/Castor needs adjustment on both wheels.
I just got a home alignment kit and will give it a try.

By the way, bgrant, which kind of cookie would you like?

The sills are not painted by the way, they, and the bottom side of the car are rhino lined (spray in bed liner).
It was really an accident. I wasn't specific when I told my painter what went where.

Everyone comments on how low it looks and I finally figured out why that is.
It is such a minute thing but it does make a difference I think.

I think it looks great! Chocolate chip is fine. How did they rhino line it? On a rotissiere (sp)?

It's the arches/flaps cutting down on dead-cat space (wheel gap). Looks facntastic.

I'm sorry. The game is already over.
Cookies have been spoken for.
The arches can only go in one spot, at least on the seem end. They can roll a bit as long as the seem end meets, well, the seem.

It was the sills being black.

.....didn't us a rotissiere but boy I will next time...

Yes it is. Well, it was November 2007.
After a soda blast, new sills, a rear valance, door skins, door hinges, A panels, boot lid, epoxy primer, two paint jobs (both times blue) and almost every nut/bolt replaced (actually every bolt now that I think about it, this is the result.
The only thing I can think of that is still from 1962 is the shell and the trunk hinges.

By the way, thanks.
