I'm here, skunks are passing by... the dogs have been skunked again but seem to be staying out of trouble for the most part. Seems to be an awful lot of skunks this year. Still worried about the rabies thing.
Been really busy and my SI keeps going out, which is keeping me from spending too much time in front of the computer. I'm happier standing.
Keep the faith- how'd the Phillies do?
Cheers-

Glad to know I was on the right track. Just had a 2 hour massage today- and am now drinking LOTS of water (above and beyond my regular amount!).
We're buying a new bed, which should help too- we've been living on a very very old futon, which sinks into the middle... We've finally decided to replace it as we're both feeling the pain!
Thanks for the offer of the epsom salts- got plenty here!
Thank you everyone for the BD wishes.
Felt kinda miserable all day long, but to see all the well wishes here helped to make my day. Thanks again.
TN - Since you're looking for a new bed, have you tried the Select Comfort bed? Deb and I got one about 3 1/2 years ago and have really liked it. Since it is adjustable you can change the firmness according to how you feel. We got one with separate controls for each side so we can individualize the firmness to one's desire.

Funny you say that... yes my neck is tight, and I'm having spasms in my left lat, the muscles that run "under" the lat, and am sore in that pect. And my left leg is as tight as all get up. I've been hitting the chiro and massage therapist (deep work). Chiro said it was emotional ... I laughed and said that I thought it was directly related to the difference between the truck and the MINI. I was really careful on the trip as the truck doesn't have a dummy pedal, which is what often throws me off as I find myself sitting unevenly- so I really worked on NOT sitting unevenly... but didn't get any use in that left leg- got home and started driving Mocha LOTS, in which I use the left leg to do the clutch- which meant I was stretching my leg which hadn't been used in almost a month...

Gemmy, I know you'll enjoy that cruise! Great about how your exams have been going.
Cabby, I'll be better soon- I've just gotta stop trying to be super woman!
Hal, I'll look into that bed. Thanks for the heads up. And Happy Birthday again, sorry you didn't feel well.
OK, RJ, what are you roasting? For a turkey, I use one of those old black enamel pans. I, personally, do not like non-stick, so I don't have any. I haven't cooked anything except turkey in a while, but I think I used a stainless roasting pan with a V shaped cradle the last time I did a roast beef, and tented with foil. I have caphalon pans, and love them as they work really well, but they're incredibly heavy. But they clean up nicely (again, I use the enamel interiors). I always tent or use a lid so that meat self bastes and I'm not spending all that time with my hand/baster IN the oven. The cradle helps keep the meat/turkey off the pan floor, so less sticking, and the bottom of the meat doesn't boil in juice, but you still have the moisture.
Size depends on what you're roasting, and how much you roast. If it's a once in a year thing, get the size that works for the largest thing you roast and if you do it again during the year, well, it might be oversized, but it will work. Otherwise, you want your pan to be able to hold your meat/bird, with out being oversized- and you either need a lid or the ability to tent with foil.
Oh- one other thing- when you get a roasting pan, make sure it can be put on direct flame. I make my gravies in the roasting pan so I can whisk up all the drippings from the pan bottom. Much easier than trying to transfer it... when you go to do your gravy, have a sifter handy... while you whisk over low heat, sift the flour in (a one handed sifter, or a willing victim, is the easiest)- keeps the lumps down... makes a great gravy too.
Hope that helps.
Vivi
