Yeah I get that all the time... They like to take pictures of me getting out and in the car. They can't figure out how a 6' tall person gets into a car that comes up to their elbow...

ROFL. Yeah. 6' and still fit in a classic. Speaking of classic....BB is broken. Her brakes are going out....again (3rd time). Was going to take her to a Mini show tomorrow but I don't want to risk the brakes completely going out on the way to the show. No parade next weekend either.

 

MINIxB, so sorry to hear about you Mini out of commission! that is terrible and sounds like you had some Mini stuff planned- hope she is back on the road quickly

 

Might be a couple weeks before I can get her back on the road. :(

 

When "the brakes go out" what does that mean exactly? Probably brake LINEs?

 

SO... ummm... MINIxB... of course you are a part of our beloved "Freebie" group... but I have realized that we've never ever seen a pic of YOU! You've seen pics of us and our high school hair and even more recent pics of ourselves... but I only know you as a headlight on a cool Classic! We've seen Big Norm in his Classic (quite a stunner with his size) ... so why haven't we seen YOU? And now you say that you are 6 feet tall and that people all stand around at car shows and take pics of you with your tiny Classic? Guess what babe, it's YOUR turn now! For real! It's not fair for you to tell us all about your cool car shows and how much of a show stopper you are and then not post any pics of this! Surely there must be some pics of you with your Mini surrounded by all the little people.

Hey Cab- you and Gem never invited me. That's why I didn't go. Well... that and because the Blue Ridge Parkway isn't there.

As for Jupiter Beach- I am about 3.5-4 hours from there. Atlantic side beaches are quite different from Gulf beaches. When are you going over there? Sometimes the husband works over there... maybe we could plan something.

 

The brakes don't stop the car when you press the brake peddle...

Hi Freebies! I'm in New Jersey right now, having driven up in Mocha with my husband and two kids. I looked for Gem & Cab as I went around Philadelphia (76 to 276 to 1 to 95) on my way here, but alas, no such luck! But if you hear rumors of a hot chocolate clubbie with a silver thule roof box, well, we don't admit anything unless it's in our best interest!
Tomorrow, we finish our trip to Maine- so we'll go thru NY, CT, MA, NH and then Maine...
Phew. Now it's time for bed!
