Pasadena british motors
Has anyone done business with them? i have been trying to get a hold of them for the past 2 1/2 weeks. i have sent them 3 emails and called them numerous times. They answered once and i asked if they could send me a list of the minis they have in their inventory, since the one on their website isnt up to date, but i havent gotten any kind of response.
I would love to go look at the minis they have and maybe buy one, but i live about 5 hrs away and i am not going to drive their without knowing what they have.
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have been there three differant times. The phone and Email are useless for contact. There Mini's are not in the best of shape. Alot of them have more plastic than Cher and are "repainted". If you are looking for a project car it is a decent place to start. If you are looking for a good decent drivable Mini I would avoid it. I would defintatly not make a speacial five hour trip for it. I went when I had to go to L.A. for something else and then "stop by" on my way home because it is about a 2 1/12 hour trip for me just one way.
what about www.miniguy.com or www.heritagegarage.com
Don't know what area you're coming from but "Mini Guy" sells a lot of nice cars on consignment and Heritage Garage is more of a parts supplier, but they may know about some cars for sale in the area.
There are probably a lot of better places than Pasadena British Motors

Both places are good....but it's best to find one closer to you.
You must see, touch, and smell before you buy.....most sight unseen purchases turn to regret.....though I drove 8.5 hours to buy mine sight unseen which turn out great. When I purchased my second one on ebay and drove across three states i got burned.
Good luck.
btw what's your budget?

wow thanks alot this is all really very helpful. I would never buy a car if i couldnt see it in person.
I will probably stay away from pasadena then. i have heard of miniguy, an acquantance of mine bought a really nice mini from him for a good price, and he was my next option so i will probably be contacting him soon. i will check out herritage though. As for mini mania, thats where i found pasadena british motors.
My budget is going to be around 8k.

Yeah, check out Minimania's classifieds. It'll take you a few weeks of diligent searching at minimum, but there are always a ton of classics within a few hours' drive of Cali. heck - search east - like Arizona, etc. - desert air = less rust.
Good luck!
Good luck!
