Question about wiring, programming VTEC?

I'm leaning strongly toward doing the B16 conversion and the kits seem to make it very doable BUT I never read much about how these cars are wired. I know superfast sells a harness but is that the only option?

I've read that honda engine harnesses have to connect through the dash harness? What if you want to use aftermarket gauges (e.g. Autometer)?

Has anyone used the superfast harness? Has anyone just taken their car minus wiring to a Hondata dealer and had them reflash the ECU and use the donor engine's harness?

I've found a universal harness to put a K-series in a non-Honda chassis but nothing for D or B series. Is there a vendor for B-series harnesses?

Jeff

engine harness pretty much stays the same....the rest must be shorten ran with bare essentials.....most honda tuners can do such task.

Autometer is no prob. as long as you get electronic gauges.

I had two fuse boxes on mine.....one for the mini side and one for the honda stuff.

Isolating both allowed to know where to look when lights did not work for example.
