replacing throw out bearing 1971 Mk3

Has anyone replaced the throw out bearing in the transmission. Mine is getting pretty loud. Do you have to pull the engine to replace it, or is there an easier way.

Although I didn't replace my bearing, I did pull the clutch housing cover to address an adjustment issue on my 1275 1973 MK3. I loosened the themostat housing brace to the radiator and unbolted the motor mount below the clutch housing and jacked up that side of the engine enough to remove the clutch housing. With some knuckle dings, it's certainly doable without pulling the engine, as removing the clutch housing gives access to the bearing.

Cheers,
Jeff

you can do it with out removing the engine completly but you will have to release a couple other bits to be able to jack the motor up enought.....make sure your carb and carb filter will clear as well when jacking up motor....
