Looking for MK1 rear panel sections.

I'm looking for some sections to restore the original lights to this 61 MK 1. The picture tells the tail. The aftermarket adapter plates won't work. The holes are too big.

No, just a portion of the rear panel the tail lights mount to.

Seven has the regular adapters in their flier this month @ $33.50 each....but I dunno where you'l find something larger if your holes are too big....I think you'd either have to buy entire fenders and cut out what you need or what I guess I'd try first is trying to cut flat stock to fill the gap by widening the edges of the plates......welding a lip of an inch or whatever all around the adapters.

Do any of the adaptors on the market have the correct stamping radius around the light?

If somebody has a rotten MK 1 shell they aren't planning to restore I could sure use these sections.

I bet you could find someone in the UK to cut them out for you. You should join www.theminiforum.co.uk and ask around or I can do it for you if you like?

I've got a couple posts and an email out to a fellow that is parting out an old MK 1. So far no luck. If you can find somebody that would be great. I hate to go through all the trouble to fix this old beast and not make it right.

If you could find the sections that would be fantastic! I dont need a complete panel. Even if they are rusted down near where they attach to the floor that would be fine. I've got metal to work with.
