Which one to buy

Hey everyone, Im a satisfied owner of a R56 S. With this purchase it got me thinking about the true classic MINI.
As an investment I am wondering which company made the most desireable Mini. I am more interested in resale and availability of true parts, not modding So please take this into consideration. Cheers

For an investment - I would buy a Mark 1 or 2 Cooper or Cooper S. Morris and Austin are the same car. No matter.

For a driver, any Mini or Mini Cooper or Cooper S

This is a GREAT Cooper S at a REALLY good price. I know the car.

How will you use it? What is important to you?

There is a substantial difference in creature comfort, ride quality, noise level, etc between a 60's Mini and a 90's Mini. I wouldn't recommend a Mk 1 or 2 to a beginner. Better off with a late 70's, 80's or 90's.

As an investment, the first 1071 S listed is in the ionisphere price-wise. Not saying it isn't worth every penny, but not many Minis sell for that kind of money. You'd be lucky to get it back. To do so, how much can you drive & enjoy it?

The second 66 S looks great and is well priced. Again, you want sliding windows or roll ups? That matters depending on where you live. Want air conditioning?

If you have the money I'd go for a real Cooper S. They cost more but if you keep it in good shape then you can get more money for it if you ever decide to sell it.
