we'll since i always get request for me to post my resto projects, here is another one that will be on it's way in a week or two.....(remember if you have any questions for me reguarding the resto, send me a PM)....this is the only pic the guy sent me so far.....he said it's not current, but i will post more when it gets here.....he is stationed in Japan, and i cant wait to get to work
Considering what I read about Minis with leaky seals, possible collection of water in certain panels if drains are plugged, etc., I wouldn't be surprised if they deteriorate pretty quickly when stored outdoors and daily drivers. Once I get mine, I hope to never use the windshield wipers. Sad realization I discovered some years ago is that even when garaged, if you live in a humid region, rust doesn't rest just because the car is sitting in the garage.
lol.....the owner pretty much said the same thing.....the car has been with his mother for 3 yrs (he's military).....so today was the first time he's seen the mini since he left........i'll fix it up though !!!
Three years of outdoor storage can take quite a toll. Been there, done that with a '59 Mercedes. I did more harm to that car in three years than the collective of the previous 40! Live and learn.
it has rust throughtout from what i can tell in the pics.....outer sills look bad behand the pass. door, around the windscreens, prob the wheen wells, maybe in the boot, in the body lines......
