Interior?

I want everyones thoughts on this. I have seen jeeps that have had the interior rhino lined, and i am thinking that would be a great way to do the floor of my mini. It would help with the sound insulation and on jeeps i have heard it helps stiffen the body too. Has anyone seen a mini done with rhino lining? If so thoughts and are there any pictures out there of one that has been done.

Thanks:impatient

i will make the car more solid and also if done right will help eliminate water from touching the metal which causes the rust........well worth it in my opinion

Make sure you buy the good stuff. I sprayed the underside of my pickup with "spray in bedliner" that comes in a rattle can. That stuff dries out and flakes, which is worse than nothing because the water sits in the cracks that form in it.

How much weight does that add, though? I usually wouldn't care, but even my 1275cc Mini is woefully underpowered as it is compared to a modern engine...

I'd also NOT use Dynamat or any other covering material unless you use the rhino coat first. Anything that traps moisture against the paint can foster rust - even the OEM carpet matting is breathable, allowing water to wick away and evaporate. If anyone rhino-coats, be sure you coat RUST FREE metal first, lest it rust under the coating.
