I put a petronix kit in my MG. It worked well for me. Nothing wrong with sticking with breaker points though. If your points fry they can be easily replaced on the roadside. If the petronix dies it's a flatbed ride for you. Unless you carry a spare one. By going electronic you also lose that oh so British tradition of the roadside repair.
