Looking for Mechanic Help

I am still somewhat new to the site. I have to replace my valve cover and thermostat on my 2009 MCS with 64,000 miles. I am looking to pay someone to help me perform these two installs. I can go to the dealer to have them install it, but I am trying to learn a little bit about the vehicle so that over time I will be a little less reliant on the dealer to always perform my maintenance.

Very temporary thread hijack and not implying that you're not headed in the right direction, but have you purchased the Bentley manual yet? I highly recommend it if you're looking to begin becoming more self-relaint for your MINI maintenance.

Yep, just ordered it off the web on Thursday. Hoping to have my copy before next Friday.
