New here, but wanted to see if anyone local in the west burbs has any use for this part before i throw it away.

I realized that the access panel to the battery was broken along the seam when checking out the engine bay on my new to me mini, and that this left the battery open to the elements with the hood closed. Fortunately a local dealer had a new one in stock, so i swung by and picked it up so I could replace it before the mega-storm hit today. So if anyone is handy and could fix this up, or have some other use for it, I'd rather it just not end up in the garbage. Just reply or shoot me a PM if you can use it. My next garbage day is wednesday 12-26-12, please be able to pick it up or make arrangements for it before then. Thanks.
