I'll give this another try. This time I have something I'm sure a few people will want. I recently retrofitted a factory armrest, which replaced the aftermarket one that came with the car when I bought it. If you don't mind the armrest slightly interfering with the e-brake handle when engaged, otherwise is in great shape for used. You WILL need to purchase a few new fasteners to install this, but on the upside, all it takes is 4 self tapping screws and a power driver to install. No disassembly of the console or anything. It WILL leave 4 holes in your center console installed, so be aware of that if you plan to remove it later.

73 views and no local wants a free armrest for their 2nd gen? Heck, Ill even install it for ya if you want, wont take more than 5 minutes to do.

 

My cars are gen1 and I don't need an armrest.

I've got space to hang on to it, and could bring it to a Chicago MINI Motoring Club event to find someone who is interested in it..

 

If you'll find yourself out in my area in the forseeable future, I'll find a place to shelf this in the meantime until you are able to swing by for it. I'd really hate to see it go in the trash if someone in the area can use it.

 

Yea.. I am seldom out in that direction, but I am going to a BMW club event in Woodridge next Saturday 1/12.. perhaps I could swing out that way late afternoon..
