Hi,
I'm Jim and have been a Mini owner since 2005, glad to be aboard.
I do have a question; My '05 Cooper has only 17,000 miles on it, is out of warranty and will soon need the first "service" other than oil changes. Can anyone recommend qualified, responsible Mini service techs. in Chicago other than the dealers?

Axels Automotive has an ex-MINI tech working there..
I recently had some small stuff fixed there and was very happy

Another CMMC member Chris Braun was very happy with Axel's and they have done custom suspension work for me, upper and lower right and left hand adjustable chrome molly suspension links. AWESOME!!! Hunter alignment stuff and road force balancing. If you want, tell Nick or Axel you saw this post. They both know me. Good Luck, Arnie
