A few pictures from today
Mark and I motored up to Petit Jean earlier today to get some pictures of the Nic II and Deimos with their new shoes. I'm really liking the way the gun metal accents that dark red color.
A little advertising for AMOK.
We stopped by the Museum of Automobiles while we were up there, and found that they sell little die cast MINIs. Only $4.50. They're the kind that accelerate forward when you pull them back. Just a little heads up. They didn't have any classic Minis in the Museum, but they had sooooo many other OLD cars it was unreal. I recommend stopping by next time you're in that neck of the woods.
Speaking of, would anyone be up for a meet and motor on Petit Jean?

I'll give the folks up at the Petit Jean State Park a call and see what they think about it (of course, even if they don't like it, it won't matter much). I figure a visit to the Museum of Automobiles might be rather fitting while we were there. Mark and I will also scout out some of the roads that run off and around the mountain and see how they are.
There are some nice roads going from Dardanelle to Petit Jean that have some really nice LONG straight stretches with a few 90 deg curves. Those roads rarely, if ever, are patrolled, are almost always empty, and the straights are great places to try some spirited driving
