Sorry we missed the meet-up this weekend. Grands watched the girls, so that C & I could take the MCS on 10 1/2 hour drive to Chicago and back for a friend's wedding this weekend. It's a different world of MINIs up there - so many I lost count.

 

Hey, I just hit "2nd Gear" after being a member of NAM for nearly five years - woohoo!

 

I saw a black w/white stripes today going south on 430, to fast and too far away to wave.

Also at 286 and I40 saw a light blue one facing east at the redlight, waved, but doubt he saw me.

 

Saw a S/B MCS with bonnet stripes coming down N Lookout yesterday afternoon.

 

I saw a red/white/white wheels/checkered mirrors pulling in to a parking spot at a "homemade" ice cream place on Central in Hot Springs Friday night.

And you guys are going to see ME before long- I have mine ordered!!! Wanted to come meet you all for ice cream the other day but Hubby was snowed with reading and studying for his doctoral degree he's working on so it was a no-go.

 

WE'VE GOT CULTURE!!!

I saw a Cooper this morning while going to work. I was on Rodney Parham at the Pleasant Valley intersection near the PV Baptist Church. I went on to Hwy 10 but he turned toward Cantrell.

It was a Silver convertible with navy ragtop. We must have culture because he had ASO1 (Arkansas Symphony Orchestra) for his license number, a license plate holder that said Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is Number 1, and a bumper sticker with the the sympnony mentioned on it. Stereotypically, he looked like he played a violin (and no...not sadly) or something.

I know.. that last comment could be seen as cultural racism.

 

Oh..by the way...congrats on you new baby Minerva louise. We look forward to meeting you in the future.

 

I've heard the conductor of the AR symphony has a Mini convertible. That must have been him.

All black 04 mini coop. it is in my driveway right now.....magnolia arkansas. i bought it last week in hot springs.
i also have seen 2 others here.
red with black top and black bonnet stripes.
white with fog lights, i think it is a mcs.

I saw a silver one on the shoulder I40 towards LR this morning, it had been in a wreck w/3 or 4 other cars :-( It didn't look like it was too badly damaged, just the bumper.. poor thing

I saw one a week before Thanksgiving, on S University near the Cat Dealership about 8am... black and silver I think? He waved!

 

I saw a white one with a black top, and a black convertible on or near Cantrell today... neither of whick returned my wave. Just wave people... come on now!

 

I saw at least ten MINIs of various colors and builds in the same place at the same time today!!! What are the odds of that!?! If you don't believe me, I have pictures to prove it!
