Im a single guy too (as in going to AMVIV single and a bachelor) and i've gone to AMVIV in the past two years in a row. Had a blast, and nothings stopping me from going each and every year (as long as my MINI doesn't blow up...again.)

okay, it is finally official... i registered for AMVIV today!!!

i'll actually be there as a small vendor selling some t-shirts that I created, the designs of which you'll have to wait and see in Vegas. i "hope" to have a basic web site up right before the event and will post the address here.

looking forward to meeting everyone, drinking a beer or two... and well, you know the rest.

oh, and motoring 22+ hours from Memphis... i'll be posting asking for tunes and routes suggestions.

He took the backroads home like we did, but he did it in the dark, and made a couple wrong turns.
Then he hit some big pot holes, and broke a rim.

 

Oh sounds like something you would do.

 

I feel bad that "I" was the one who gave him directions But it can get mighty dark out there in the desert and would be easy to make a wrong turn At least it all ended well and can tell "Avery's Saga" into the wee hours of the night. Over several beers of course.!

A "friend" sent him home through Death Valley, alone, on a road he hadn't driven before. With friends like that...

 

Mistake #1....Offering an alternative route home (didn't want to deal with I-15)
Mistake #2....Late start out of Vegas (around 3pm... I think?)
Mistake #3....Getting lost leaving Vegas (out the back way, through town to Blue Diamond Rd.) should have been a clue of things to follow.
Mistake #4....Getting lost and making a wrong turn in the middle of the night in Death Valley and mangling 2 tires/wheels.
Having a Happy Ending story that will live on forever in AMVIV lore ...... Priceless..

 

Anyone who does the "Sandy Valley Spin" during AMVIV will have the opportunity to spot this sign.
