I am interested in purchasing a couple of inexpensive downtubes in order to try to modify them to hold an ipod and maybe a cell phone or portable nav. Since I will be cutting the tubes and using fiberglass on them they can be in very rough condition. Since this may not turn out well at all I certainly am not looking for anything pretty or in nice shape. Cheap and ugly is what I am looking for. I suspect that last line may trigger a few responses that have nothing to do with downtubes. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Oh there are many comebacks that I could post that wouldnt be particularly nice but considering the season, I am a nice guy and I am still groveling for cheap parts I will refrain and give you credit for finding a truly unique picture.

 

Well, I hadnt given any thought to coming up with a price. I thought I might be fielding offers and I have no idea what these go for, either new, used or in good or bad condition so forgive me if my response is insulting, it isnt meant to be. I guess something in the $10-15 range plus shipping is what I was hoping for. Like I said, I am not looking for anything nice, just functional. Thanks for the help.

I bought a second set because one of the tubes that came with my Mini has scratches. One of these days I will swap them out, but the weather has to be better. If you're still looking when I get to it, you can have them for the cost of shipping. I just don't know how to remove them so I have to take my time.
