I love them too & they appeared to be well made using top notch materials but I just could never ever afford to pay that for a house
(unless there is a huge, surprise inheritance coming my way)

 

TT, part of what you have to understand about Ballantrae is that it is built near the golf course. Obviously if you bought one one the golf course you could probably expect to much more. Not only was it near the golf course it was also on the one street called the Ledges which have fantastic views off the mountain. Don't worry golfman when I do get ready you will be my realtor . I was just out playing Friday & was a bit putoff by the pricing. It looks as though when I do buy new I won't be able to afford to stay in Pelham because even the other new non-Ballantrae subdivisions are running $250K minimum

 

Consider yourself lucky. In Silicon Valley you get 1/2 the house for more than twice the price of what you're looking at (and that's for a 50 year old house!)

 

Prices on the West Coast are outragous. I know we get much more house for our money in Alabama than in the Silicon Valley but that is really apples to oranges since we also make less money here
