If you ordered your Dragon Draggin' car and have not yet received it - let me know via PM ASAP!!! There is very limited time to ship any remaining cars, and my shipping department (umm, well, that's me and my wife) are getting swamped with prep work! I apologize if we missed any shipments, and will ship quickly - but only if I know I need to.
Yes, I will be bringing some spare dry graphite lube, and some limited preparation/repair tools will be available (small hammer, pliers, file, and some tape), but we may not have enough if everyone wants to do some last minute prep. Please plan ahead! We will have 2-3 very accurate scales being used for weigh in. Car dimensions will be checked, as will adherence to the rules and spirit of the rules, which closely mirrors BSA Pinewood Derby rules. If there is a question, we will use BSA guidelines in the judging. Cheaters will be denied their Bubba's Homebaked Nut Rolls! (everyone go ooOOOOOOoooh!)
If you want to last-minute register at registration, you can receive your car kit early (or at Dragon Bingo) ONLY IF YOU LET ME KNOW and we arrange a place to meet, or if I can leave them at the desk for you!! I'm not staying onsite (sorry) but will be onsite frequently and will have some spare cars with me. I will have extremely limited access to the internet after this Sunday 5/26.
If you have not yet begun your prep, or are planning on last-minute prep at Fontana, please note: Spray paint takes a while to really dry thoroughly, and the kits are made of pine - which is a soft and somewhat absorbent wood! Plan accordingly, and know that Fontana frowns on spray painting inside the activity center! If you MUST paint at Fontana, PLEASE apply THIN coats so it dries before I have to start the cars! I had paint EVERYWHERE last year!!!
