Topless On The Dragon
Topless On The Dragon
No perverts! Not that way .. I'm talking about dropping the top on the Cabrios and going
for a nice leisurely drive on the Dragon.
UPDATE: Topless On The Dragon will start at the north end of the Dragon immediately after
the Dragon Parade (return run from TN).
There is a large gravel parking lot on the left side of hwy 129 in TN about a 1/4 mile past Tabcat Bridge
where we will stage for our topless run back through the Dragon.
This event is only possible if it is not raining, should the event be rained out we will attempt an
alternate day and this thread will be updated.
If you think that this is something you would like to participate in just let us know.
Click on map for larger view and more details.
Actual image of gravel lot at the north end of the Dragon.
Note the picnic table and boat ramp with fishing platform.
UPDATE: As of 23MAR09 the current list of Topless MINI's

As I indicated earlier, I'd love to join the drive. I've driven the Dragon many times topless, it's just that my convertible isn't a Mini. If you guys can stand the thought of a non-Mini tagging along, I think it would be fun. I promise I won't hold anyone back ( http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...35671497&hl=en ).
For those familiar with the Dragon, you can see that I am hustling the modified Chrysler quite well! (Even get a little oversteer at 3:21)

WOW.... just curious... what have you done to your Sebring? Because that's what I had for 7 years before my MINI... and I woulda never ever never felt comfortable driving it like that on the Dragon... mine always felt like lying in a giant plate of linguine strapped to the back of a couple of guinea pigs...

Obviously not as much fun to drive as the Mini, but I do enjoy driving top down and it's fun to suprise people that this car can actually handle, as one RX-8 learned last time on the Dragon as I breathed down his rear in a Chrysler.

Nah, not trolling, just want to join in on some top down action in the mountains. Heck, I don't even have a sunroof on my Mini. But hey, if you don't want to be seen around a Chrysler, I get it....

But the MINI's on the Dragon is all about MINI's and the Topless on the Dragon represents a Photo Op and Video Op that would otherwise be compromised.
I live close enough to the Dragon that if you ever want to get a group of convertibles together we can all run the Dragon together.
Or better yet, we can all enjoy a sunny spring weekend on the BRP.
