Same here... But the only exception is the girl scout cookies... thin mints are now my only diet.. once I am out.... well big problems..

Hah. We get ambushed at work as there's bound to be someone whose daughter is a Girl Scout. Got two boxes of Thin Mints sitting in my office that will now go uneaten until I GET MY REGISTRATION!

Think of the Thin Mints! What did they ever do to you!?!?

those are faves as well, as well as being the naughtiest. Those chewy coconut one have something like 15 grams of fat apiece in them...yummy.

 

I think it is time for the Girl Scouts to join the www revolution! It's not like they are allowed to go door to door anymore. You end up having to know a GS or be ambushed by them when out shopping.

Cute GS story I heard recently: A woman here in Memphis was asked if she wanted to buy any cookies. She told the GSs that she was on a diet, just as the woman in front of her had. She got about 5 steps away and heard the GSs coming up with their new strategy. "From now on, lets only ask the skinny ones".

 

I was walking towards a Sprawl-mart front door from my car when an guy in his 40's took a look at me and said something to the effect of "There's a guy who looks like he can put away some cookies!" (6'4", 300 lbs at the time). My wife and I just looked at each-other with a WTF expression on our faces ( ) and kept on walking. When we came out, we noticed him by the front door... this time accompanied by his 3 daughters, a large folding table and several cases of Girl Scout cookies. In this context, his comment made sense. In isolation, that't the kind of thing that could get you a sock in the nose!

 

Maybe I should be offended. My neighbor offered me the last 2 boxes her daughter had for sale - 2 boxes of sugar free chocolate chip cookies

 

You know, my brother is the type of person that will tell you he'll be there to pick you up at the end
of the month and doesn't bother to call or write to tell you he won't be there till next month.

And so here I sit all out of Girl Scout cookies and nothing to do but whistle.
