ICE Tech Planned Obsolescence
Tech Planned Obsolescence
As someone who has owned a variety of collectible vehicles over the years, I always insured them through Hagerty.
They’ve been an excellent company to work with, and they offer a range of services and perks beyond just collector car insurance.
One of the perks was an excellent magazine called Driver’s Club that featured great photography, tech articles, how to articles and plenty of owner stories.
Recently, one article really caught my eye... ‘Planned Obsolescence’ by contributor/writer Richard Vaughan.
It’s a fascinating take on how the software that runs today’s vehicles could end up turning them into tomorrow’s junk.
I’m not entirely convinced by his premise, but it’s an interesting read.
I’d be curious to hear your take on it.
