For the record... (MOTD4 article in MC2)
The latest issue of MC2 Magazine (Issue No. 4, September-October 2006) has an article on MOTD4, starting on page 48. The article was written by Dawn Dove Dinius, who is the wife of Herb Dinius. At the time of MOTD4, Herb was assistant parts manager at MINI of Sterling.
I just want to make it clear that her statement of how MOTD4 was "sponsored by a group called the DC Metro MINI Club" is a misunderstanding. While some of us in DCMM know Herb personally since many of us are MINI of Sterling customers, all of us met Dawn for the first time while at MOTD4.
At no time did I or any other DCMM member claim that "we" were the sponsor of MOTD4. Due to the close relationship that MINI of Sterling has with DC Metro MINIs (they are one of 3 MINI dealerships in our coverage area), including our encouragement that MINI of Sterling participate, they likely misunderstood our level of involvement. Our stated involvement was more along the lines of "helping with the organization of...".
Kudos to everyone that both helped in the organization of any number of activities and events, or even just participated with a friendly attitude, making the whole event better for everyone.

Hey Edge, read the article today and came across that and said to myself, Oh *****, here we go again.
I think the mass majority of us know that DCMM stepped up to the plate and just did what no one else would. My hat is off to DCMM and Atlanta Minis (and everyone else) for all the work you guys did at the 2006 dragon. Hopefully you can all sit back alittle for 2007 and enjoy yourselves more.
Forget about the article, my picture of my car by the Dam made the article on page 51. How cool is that!!!!!
